The process of a background check starts from the day DOJ/FBI receives your completed Form 41-LS. The entire Live Scan process takes 3-7 days to get your updated report for in-state residents and 14-20 days for out-of-state residents. Bear in mind that out-of-state applicants should have completed their FD-258 “hard-Card" manual fingerprint process before coming in for a Live Scan fingerprinting.
